Maison La Motte - Bed and Breakfast in Normandy

Bienvenue en Normandie!  Welcome to our cozy bed and breakfast Maison La Motte in the beautiful and picturesque Normandy. This is your place to be when you are exploring the historical sights and nature of the region. Did you know that we are just 2.4 kms from the green bicycle route? After you had a good night sleep in one of our comfortable queen or king size beds and finished your tasty breakfast, you are ready to set off and make the most of your holiday!

About us

We know how important it is to know where you're going to spend your night(s), so let us introduce ourselves to you. We are a Dutch-Hungarian family of 4 who decided to leave The Netherlands behind to pursue our dream in the French countryside. A very exciting step for all of us, especially our children Dennis and Evi. We (Ronald and Orsi) have lived abroad in different countries like the UK and Italy before moving to The Netherlands.

Then in 2013 we decided to go on holiday in Normandy and we fell in love with its landscape: the green hills and meadows, cute villages, farm and forest animals, historic monuments and of course the beautiful coastline and beaches… just to name the first key points that pop in our mind. After our first holiday in the area, many others followed and now we find ourselves enjoying the French lifestyle living permanently in the land of cider, calvados, fresh butter and camembert.

And now we are extremely excited to welcome you to our B&B! Our mission is to pamper you with comfortable accommodation and delicious breakfast while you explore the wonderful areas Normandy has to offer.

We currently have 5 rooms available in our Bed and Breakfast, all 5 with completely renovated ensuite bathrooms. Our largest room is the top floor suite, with a spacious bedroom including a queen size bed and a large private bathroom area with a shower and bath. The suite is perfect for a couple or a family of 3 travelling with a child. We also offer 2 large double bedrooms which can accommodate a couple or a family of 3. Last but not least, we also have 2 single rooms with a small size double bed which makes the room available for couples as well. We are currently renovating our gîte which will soon be available for booking.

During your stay at our bed and breakfast, you may enjoy your continental breakfast in the downstairs lounge every morning, including fresh croissants, hot and cold beverages, a large choice of cold cuts as well as cereals. The large cozy lounge area is also available for you whether you would like to play a card game or read a book outside your room.

La Motte is a bed and breakfast in the vicinity of Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët but away from the busyness of the town. You will feel peaceful in the large garden area which our guests can explore during their stay. Garden furniture is available at several places of the garden to provide you with lots of relaxing moments.
